The Department of Religious Studies at Santa Clara University, a Jesuit, Catholic university, invites applications for two full-time tenure track assistant professor positions in Systematic Theology, to begin Fall 2021. The specialization within the area of systematic theology is open, but we will give particular attention to candidates with expertise in one or more of the following areas: Sacraments and Liturgy, Christology, Ecclesiology, Liberation Theology, Black Theologies, and Latinx Theologies. Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate an intersectional analysis of race, gender, sexuality, class, ability, etc. Candidates should demonstrate not only potential for excellent teaching, but also promise in sustained research and scholarly publication, and service to the department, College, University, and profession.

Required qualifications include completion of the doctoral degree by the time of appointment, evidence of potential for effective and excellent university-level teaching primarily at the undergraduate level, and evidence of an agenda for scholarship and promise of peer-reviewed publication in systematic theology.

The application deadline is October 1, 2020. For information on the department, visit https://www.scu.edu/religiousstudies; the full posting for this position, including application instructions, is available here.
