The College Theology Society honors excellence in scholarship by presenting book, article, and graduate student essay awards each year. The deadline for submissions this year is Wednesday, December 15, 2021.
Eligible material must have been published in 2021 for the book and article awards, or completed in the 20-21 AY for the graduate student essay awards. In all cases, you must be a current member (with dues paid up!) to be eligible for the book or article award. (This requirement is waived for graduate students submitting essays.) Now is a good time to check your membership status. Given the workload taken on by the Awards Committee, please submit no more than one entry in each category.
If you are submitting a book published in 2021, send (or have your publisher send) three copies to Julia Brumbaugh, Religious Studies Department, Regis College, 3333 Regis Blvd. E-4, Denver, CO 80221
If you are submitting an article published in 2021, please send it as an attachment to Julia at jbrumbau@regis.edu.
If you are submitting a graduate student essay completed in AY20-21 (an unpublished essay of superior quality written for a graduate course), please send it as an attachment to Julia at jbrumbau@regis.edu.
All who submit a book, published article, or student essay should receive an acknowledgement of receipt of materials by January 8th, 2022.
Winners are expected to attend this year’s annual meeting at the University of Detroit Mercy.
We are always looking for new members for the Awards Committee – if you would like to serve on this committee, please email Julia!
