The Clough School of Theology and Ministry at Boston College invites applications for a position in New Testament; the position is full-time, open-rank, and tenure-track/tenured within the school’s Ecclesiastical Faculty. The Clough School is a graduate divinity school offering masters and doctoral degrees, both civil and ecclesiastical. Candidates must provide evidence of excellence in research; especially desirable is expertise in the areas of Pauline studies and/or Luke-Acts. The successful candidate will be expected to teach two graduate courses each semester, ranging from general introductory courses in New Testament to exegetical courses and courses in specific areas of their specialization in New Testament Studies. The committee welcomes the willingness to use interdisciplinary methods as well as an openness to online teaching.

Candidates must be committed to core Catholic teachings and approaches to teaching and research with sensitivity to pastoral commitments and engagement with the global church. Applicants must demonstrate strengths in teaching and research. Candidates must be willing to contribute to the formation of the student

body within the Clough School of Theology and Ministry. Students are both domestic and international and consist of Jesuits and other candidates approved for ordination studies, as well as women and men preparing for lay ecclesial ministries and service rooted in faith. In addition to teaching students across the different programs in the school, the position requires the willingness to mentor and advise students as they complete theses or dissertations that are part of civil and ecclesiastical degrees.
