First, this section invites proposals that probe the world religions in light of the conference theme, Religion, Economics, and Culture in Conflict and Conversation. In what ways do the world's religions engage these interrelated components of Globalization? Papers may deal with traditions discretely or in a comparative/interreligious fashion.

Second, the World Religions section joins the Spirituality section for a co-sponsored session probing ‘World Religions' and ‘Spirituality' in a global context (e.g., inculturation, spirituality in interreligious dialogue, comparative studies of spirituality in different religious traditions).

Proposals outside of the conference theme are also welcome, as are those from scholars who teach in the area of world religions but do not consider themselves experts in those religions.
