This section welcomes all papers examining religions’ interactions with literature and art (visual, musical, and performing). We are especially interested in receiving proposals for papers dealing with religion, art or literature, and the conference theme, “Found in Translation: Living Faith in New Contexts.” Topics could include how translation expands or confounds meaning in religious art and literature, analyses of art and literature that engage more than one language or culture, the translation or adaptation of religious narratives between media, analyses of literature and art that engages in inculturation or in ecumenical or interreligious dialog, or considerations of translations of religious texts (e.g., the KJV) as works of art. In your proposal, please indicate your institution and position within it, as well as any technology requests.
